A colorful double stranded knitted sock yarn blank by A Heap Of Sheep Yarn! This purple water color theme was hand dyed, by myself “Clematis Flower Watercolor” is a gorgeous, soft transitional blend of lilac, violet and plum.

This color is offered in the following fiber blend:
- Sturdy Sock - 75/25 Superwash Merino and Nylon Fingering Weight Sock Yarn. Choose this blend for a soft feel with the added longevity of 25% nylon, for those who are hard on socks!

The price is for one knitted panel of yarn, which is double knitted - created with two separate 50g skeins, weighing approximately 100g with approximately 430 yards in length.

It measures roughly 8.25 inches wide and 28” long. There are (2) 50g skeins of fingering weight sock yarn knitted together. This creates 2 symmetrical skeins to give you a perfect matching pair. You can knit directly from the dyed sock blank, or wind it into two separate balls/cakes, giving you options on how you want to work with it.

I knitted the sock blank with waste yarn at the top and bottom of the project. Pink ravel cord separates the skeins of yarn from the waste yarn, you just need to pull the ravel cord out of the knitting, and the waste yarn will fall off. This is helpful so the yarn does not unravel while being dyed or before you are ready to work with it. When ready, simply pull the two strands of working yarn, and it will begin to unravel.

The skeins are all hand-dyed, by myself, using professional acid dyes and high-quality soft yarns. If you require multiple skeins of yarn, please contact me to arrange that I create them from the same batch. *please note it is possible to get some mottled speckles or “resist” in between the knitted fibers.

Although dyed in small batches with the same process, different fibers and artistic mood create a unique finished yarn. Please look carefully at the pictures. There is no dye lot for a hand dyed yarn as each skein is unique as it is created!

Each time a blank is dyed and created, it will have its own unique pattern. If there is something specific you would like to request when ordering this item please message me first.

Superwash Merino wool is known to be machine washable, but I still recommend hand washing and laying flat to dry to extend the life of the yarn and your project! I carefully rinse and wash the yarn after the dye process, but it is still possible a small amount of color may bleed out in the first wash.
